State housing aid: Daam Sakane
A direct grant for a first home in Morocco. Moroccans abroad are eligible and make up about a quarter of beneficiaries.
Key facts
- 100,000 dirhams for a home priced at 300,000 dirhams or less, tax included.
- 70,000 dirhams for a home priced between 300,000 and 700,000 dirhams.
- The programme runs from 2024 to 2028. At the end of November 2025, 24% of its 75,760 beneficiaries lived abroad.
- It is for a first home that becomes a main residence. The full conditions are on the programme's website.
Steps
- Check that you qualify and apply on the Daam Sakane platform.
- Choose a home with a land title and a certificate of occupancy.
- Sign the preliminary contract at a notary, who requests the payment of the aid.
- Sign the final deed. The aid is paid through the notary.
Watch out
- The aid comes with a commitment to keep the home as a main residence for several years. Selling or renting early can mean repaying it.
- The grant does not check the builder for you. Visit, compare and ask about the surroundings: the ministry is now reviewing the quality of homes bought with the aid.
