Health and emergencies during a stay
Your cover abroad rarely follows you to Morocco. Sort it out before you travel.
Key facts
- Without an agreement form from your fund, you pay for care in Morocco yourself and claim later, if your cover allows it.
- Private clinics may ask for a deposit before admission.
- Assistance insurance covers medical repatriation and, often, the return of the family and the car.
Steps
- Ask your health fund for the form for temporary stays in Morocco, where one exists.
- Take travel assistance for each trip, or check what your bank card includes.
- Save the emergency numbers on our Morocco page in your phone.
Watch out
- Elderly parents visiting you abroad need travel insurance for their visa, and it is worth having even when not required.
